IBC is making a difference in your community
Our commitment to “Do More” for the communities we serve permeates our company from the top down. Community involvement decisions are made on a local level because our more than 3,300 employees in Texas and Oklahoma are personally vested in the communities in which we live. IBC employees are encouraged to actively participate in civic and charitable organizations supporting the arts, education, neighborhood revitalization, economic development, medical research and other philanthropic endeavors.
Our Employee Advisory Boards (EAB), established in 1985, have evolved to become IBC’s volunteer arm. Each IBC market has its own EAB with its own officers – and every IBC employee becomes a member upon hiring. IBC employees have dedicated tens of thousands of volunteer hours to various charities. In fact, in 2012 alone, that number exceeded 28,250 hours. IBC is grateful for the opportunity to give back monetarily, as well, with corporate giving totals exceeding $2.2 million.
We hope you explore the community involvement area of ibc.com to become familiar with all the ways IBC Bank is doing more in your community by taking on leadership roles in civic organizations, volunteering on the boards of local chapters of nonprofits, participating in community events, providing scholarships for deserving students, teaching financial literacy concepts to children and adults alike, and more.
